Help girls become leaders in their communities!

The Leadership Trainings outcome in Chateau d’Eau district is effective and it is a long-lasting change for girls! 

Girls’ Leadership Training is making a difference in their lives and in their communities. Before the leadership trainings, their voices were often ignored. The training sessions activities unlocked their self-confidence and provided them with new skills. They got more courage and arguments to work together with grandmothers, to mobilize their community members for wide support for their education and holistic development. 

In 2023, 60 adolescent girls and 17 grandmothers participated in Grandmother Project innovative Girls' Leadership Training program. After, together with grandmother’s support, they created an Association to fight harmful cultural practices and other forms of violence. 

Thanks to their actions, canalize by Grandmothers leaders, their community members know clearly now that girl’s fate is no longer just to be prepared to become good wives and good mothers. The Leadership Trainings outcome is effective and it is a long-lasting change for theme!
