How we are Building Foward Together

By Keturah Shammah | Executive Director

Dear Partners,

Greetings from Girls Education Mission International with hope you are doing well and keeping safe?

Partners like YOU are so critical to the work we do at Girls Education Mission International. You provide the support needed to make our mission possible. Thank you for choosing Girls Education Mission International! Thank you for the generosity!!

Big threat like sustaining a Nonprofit organization in this uncertain times demands solutions that features strong, collaborative partnership.  As an organization, we are more than happy you have decided to be part of our community.

The COVID-19 crisis has made us reflect on how often our lives are at the Mercy of things we cannot control.  When COVID-19 threatens our operations and Programs, we launched a sustainable model https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/help-give-vulnerable-girls-dignity-and-livelihood/ to enable us continue to provide Menstrual Hygiene support to Girls and at the same time providing them with job opportunity while also financing the  programs and operations of the Girls Education Mission International.

Thank you for your constant support towards our work of ensuring we provide Menstrual Hygiene to the vulnerable girls in Nigeria.

Recently, we provide Menstrual Hygiene and sanitary support to over 600 young women and girls in Jos, Nigeria. This is done through the distribution of free menstrual Pad and other sanitary products as well training them on how to make reusable sanitary Pad.

Why Menstrual Hygiene?

Menstruation affects every aspect of Girls life including her Education, Participation, Health and Economy. The reality is troubling, but it also gives us a path forward. It is a great opportunity to make lasting impact.  Deborah  said "Learning how to make reusable is the greatest thing ever.... We have now acquired new skill that can earn us an income".

 Save the Date: Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is November 30 this year, and we invite you to support us with your donation.  You have the chance to invest in vulnerable Girls in Nigeria.

Thank you for your support.

From all of us at Girls Education Mission International.
