Menstrual Hygiene Day 2022 Event

Dear Partners,

This is to keep you updated about how your support as always is changing lives positively.

To commemorate the 2022 World Menstrual Hygiene Day, Girls Education Mission International hosted 88 girls of Government Seocndary School Wholshe for an event. The impact of such an event cannot be over emphasized. The girls through the interaction we had with them, revealed that a lot of knowledge was acquired. We were able to carry out the following activities:

Designing of menstrual bracelet
Issuing of sanitary pad
Discussion on menstrual hygiene and management

SUCCESS STORIES

The program was a great success with maximum co-operation from the school management to the participants who were thrilled with the whole activities done. In the words of Asiya “I am excited with this program because I have added a knowledge on how to count and keep track of my menstrual cycle” while Lovina says she will freely discussed about menstruation without being shy. Many of the girls find the program an interesting avenue were the are relax to talk about menstruation without ashamed. Considering the impact of the program, the school solicited for increase in the number of beneficiaries.

We are still solitiicng your donations as we contrinue to trust you with support to enable us set up a set a sanitary pad production unit to enable us produce mass number of pad for more girls to benefit.
