Dear Partners,
I am Glad to share with you that on May 28 2024, Girls Education Mission International has brough together 30 girls for what is tagged as "Period Party" to commemorate the 2024 World Menstrual Hygiene Day.
It was a day packaged with full of attctivies aimed at increasing awareness of girls on propoer menstrual hygiene and building confidence and self worth of girls on issues regarding menstruation.
The Program featured activies such as Talk, Opened Convsersation/Story telling, Sanitary pad distribution, Quize, Dance competition, Refreshments and Networking.
It was an impactuflu and memorable experience for the participating girls as they shared feddbcak as follows:
"Today happens to be a blessed day for me and other fellow girls.This day being the International Menstural Hygiene Day celebrated at GEM Office made me proud of being a girl. I have learned alot from the session we had, the storyline and in fact the teaming work. I am overwhelmed with happiness and joy . Thanks to all my able Facilitators. This program is a gift to opportune individual, proud to be here. Words alone can't express my gratitude to the organisers .....Thank you E D (Ms. Keturah Shammah) ,Ms Itswell the rest of our staffs". -Hafsat
"Seriously it was a great previlage and opportunity having a time like this to celebrate menstrual hygiene like it has never occurred to me that thing like this too can actually be celebrated seriously it was amazing it was great awesome. It was also nice seeing our staff dance like wow energy it was just fun the talk,quiz, open conversation,the dance , even the refreshment ,it was good and nice to may the Lord continue to bless all the staffs of girls education mission international and to our honorable mommy Mrs keturah shammah for this great opportunity we are sincerely grateful ma may God continue to bless you and fill u with more wisdom and grace thank you ma and all the staffs".- Peace
