In 2022, thousands of emails have been exchanged between American victims of sexual and gender based violence abroad, SGBV, and our crisis email advocate.
Since federal government stopped all funding to assist American victims abroad in 2017 and 2019, our crisis email remains a critical lifeline of hope. And our inbox is filled with heart breaking story after heart breaking story.
Victims reach out to us for support because they are unable to get it elsewhere. Victims who have exhausted every resource and been told nothing could be done. They reach out to us desperately grasping for a sliver of hope. Even just someone to hear them, to believe them.
Because of your donations, we continue to provide assistance to the most desperate and vulnerable victims around the world.
Victims like Tia. Who faced so many obstacles and felt she would never escape abuse. She is now safe back home in the USA because they were able to receive information, emotional support, safety planning and resources from our crisis email advocate.
You made that possible by supporting this project!
We wish you a 2023 filled with peace & happiness!
