We hope this message finds you well and thriving. As valued supporters of our mission, we wanted to provide you with an update on the impactful strides we've made in facilitating education for migrant children, particularly those who have crossed the border into Thailand from Myanmar.
The increasing influx of migrant children has highlighted the pressing need for resources to facilitate their journey to school, specifically to Migrant Learning Centers (MLCs) in Mae Sot, Ranong, and Chumphon. Your continued support has been instrumental in bridging the gap and making education accessible to these children,
opening doors to a brighter future.
Travel Support: A Lifeline for Education
Migrant children in these regions face numerous challenges, one of the most significant being the lack of means to travel to MLCs. Without proper transportation, their ability to attend classes is compromised, hindering their educational development. Your generous contributions have allowed us to provide essential travel support, ensuring that these children can access MLCs and embark on a journey of learning and growth.
Curriculum and Certification
At MLCs in Mae Sot, Ranong, and Chumphon, migrant children follow the Thai Government Non-Formal Education syllabus and courses. This comprehensive curriculum equips them with essential skills and knowledge, preparing them for a future filled with possibilities. Additionally, students participate in Thai language lessons to enhance their communication abilities within the Non-Formal Education system.
Upon completion of the program, these resilient young learners are awarded an officially recognized Thai education certificate. This certificate serves as a key to unlocking further educational opportunities, vocational training, and employment, breaking the barriers that once confined them.
Why is This Education Crucial?
In conclusion, your generosity continues to be a beacon of hope for these young minds, illuminating a path towards education, empowerment, and a promising future. We express our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering commitment to making a lasting impact on the lives of these migrant children.
Thank you for being an integral part of our journey.
