Dear Donors,
Thank you for your concern for children in Nigeria living with Acute Flaccid Paralysis (AFP). Your support brings hope to families facing sudden paralysis caused by conditions such as Guillain-Barré syndrome or nerve injuries.
AFP can lead to permanent disability if timely therapy and proper mobility aids are not provided. Many affected families cannot afford months of physiotherapy or specialized devices like braces and wheelchairs. Without intervention, children risk lifelong immobility, exclusion from school, and economic hardship. This project will fund at least six months of intensive weekly physiotherapy for each child. Custom mobility aids will be provided to improve movement and access to education. Parents will also receive training on home-based exercises and ongoing support to maintain progress.
At present, no donations have been received, and funding is required before therapy sessions and equipment provision can begin. We kindly invite you to support or share this initiative so children with AFP can regain function and return to school.
With sincere appreciation,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
