Thank You For Helping Animals Like Ramu

By Clara Nowak | UK Director

We are so grateful for your support. In May we helped 2,424 animals and it seems we are always getting busier!

Rainy season is upon us and that always makes things more challenging, both out and about rescuing animals, as well as at our hospital. We still have some buildings that are prone to flooding, and you may have seen our new GlobalGiving project to flood-proof those buildings.

Your help is so important in helping the local street animals. Without your help we wouldn't be able to reach animals like Ramu, a young bull.

On a dusty city street Ramu's hind leg was bleeding heavily from a deep laceration. Our rescue team responded to the call for help and quickly brought Ramu back to TOLFA in our custom made large animal vehicle.

Our doctors assessed Ramu's leg and after deep cleaning to reduce the risk of an infection the wound was sutured closed. Following this, Ramu had a course of antibiotics, along with continued pain relief and daily wound care. Over several weeks, our medical team and dedicated Large Animal Team worked hard offering Ramu all the care, love, and good nutrition he needed for his healing journey.

It is only through the care of our team and your support that Ramu fully recovered and is getting a second chance at life.
