Since the last report, in Sierra Leone, there has only been one major storm. This storm took place in April in the Kono region of Sierra Leone. The high winds blew off the roof of many houses. Several people sustained physical injuries - but fortunately, none of them were fatal. More details about the storm are available here.
The sad part about such storms is that they offer leave the affected people both homeless and hopeless. In many of these occurrences, the families are destitute and there is often little support from the community. This is all the more reason why what we are doing through this and similar projects is important. It's essential that we provide this support. This short-term immediate assistance is crucial.
Thank you so much for helping those affected by storms - who need help the most - those who cannot help themselves. YOUR suport means a lot more than you realize and we deeply appreciate you!
