Yorn Sopheara, an 11-year-old boy, has 2 older brothers and lives at least 7 kilometres from school. Sopheara joined the team in February 2019, he is one of new members in the team this year.
“I was glad to join TFCF football team at the beginning of 2019, and I started to enjoy the staying in school because I knew I could study and also play my favorite sport in school. My social worker encouraged me to play the football and study hard to be an outstanding student. I greatly appreciate this opportunity, and I promise that I will get all my job done to become a good student as a result. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to join this program and change my way to study.”

The first friendly match in 2019
All new members have joined the team training for 4 months and we have organized the first friendly match for TFCF children this June. We took a 2 to 2 draw with Prasat Krorhorm team during the friendly game on June 15th, 2019. Even we didn’t win the game, it was a good experience to examine the result of training. All children have learned how to improve their skills in the coming training and felt exciting to be in the project. Thank you for your support and donation! You truly make the difference for children in Cambodia and we are extremely grateful! Thank you!
