Hello again and thank you for your continued support of SoCal Parrot!
As we begin to prepare for the upcoming 2023 baby parrot season, we typically spend extra time "spring cleaning" and coordinating our supplies. That way, once the babies start to come in, we are prepared to give them all the care and support they need.
The last several months have brought a lot of rainy weather to Southern California, which we are grateful for (it puts a dent in the drought), and the parrots like to sing and dance when the rain starts falling. That being said, we are looking forward to a bit more sun and slightly fewer puddles soon!
We are currently in our first phase of "spring cleaning", which is more organizing and inventory than actual cleaning. Once we have a clear idea on what we have as far as supplies go, we plan to use your donations to full restock whatever is needed. In addition to bolstering our shelves ahead of baby season, your donations go directly towards our weekly feeding costs. As you can imagine with the rising costs of produce, donations are needed now more than ever. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has sent a one-time or sustained donation to us recently, as it all helps us continue to rescue wild parrots from the region.
Finally, we have an exciting announcement coming in just a few short weeks... a new face will be joining our team! Stay tuned for next quarter's report to learn all about this new addition.
