Hooray for good news! After over 2 years of waiting, Ying has finally gotten her family background paperwork changed to show she was born in Thailand so she can now submit the paperwork to get her Thai citizenship.
We submitted the paperwork for Koranid to get her citizenship and ID card in April 2023, and we just received word that she was assigned an ID number! Now, the government office needs to schedule her to come take her photo and get her card, which will probably happen in April or May.
We are always consulting and meeting with new clients to help them on their journey to get their Thai citizenship or residency. We are hopeful that in the future, children born in Thailand will get their citizenship automatically without having to go through such a long process.
