For girls living on the streets of Lubumbashi, daily life is shaped by severe vulnerability, isolation, and constant anxiety. At Kimbilio’s transit home for girls, we provide far more than emergency shelter, hot meals, and medical care; we offer a nurturing space where girls can rediscover childhood, build confidence, and simply have fun.
Creative and physical activities are vital tools for healing and personal growth. Whether it is shooting hoops on the basketball court, expressing emotions through art, or bonding through dance, these activities give the girls a healthy outlet to process past trauma. Playing team sports like basketball builds trust, teamwork, and self-esteem, bringing pure joy and laughter back into their daily lives.
Providing a safe refuge, therapeutic creative outlets, and sports equipment requires steady backing. Your donations directly fund our girls' transit home, covering healthcare, nutritious meals, psychosocial support, and recreational activities.
Your ongoing support ensures that street-connected girls have a secure haven to heal, express themselves, and build a brighter future. Thank you for bringing joy and hope back into their lives!
