Every woman deserves to wake up feeling safe, valued, and respected. Yet gender-based violence continues to threaten the dignity, independence, and well-being of women in many rural communities. Behind the silence, some women struggle with fear, discrimination, economic dependence, and limited access to information about their rights and available support.
At The Girl Child Foundation Uganda (GIFU), we believe that protecting women from violence is essential to building stronger families and healthier communities. Through our Protect Rural Women from Gender-Based Violence project, we seek to promote awareness of women's rights, challenge harmful attitudes, encourage community responsibility, and support efforts to create safer environments for rural women.
Change begins when communities understand that violence is never an acceptable way to resolve conflict or exercise power. It grows when women are empowered to speak out, seek assistance, and participate confidently in decisions affecting their lives.
However, building safer communities requires collective commitment. GIFU needs the support of compassionate donors and well-wishers who believe that every woman deserves protection and equal opportunities.
Your donation can help us bring hope, awareness, and opportunities for change to rural women who deserve a safer future.
Together, we can challenge gender-based violence, strengthen respect for women's rights, and help create communities where women can live without fear.
Stand with GIFU today. Invest in women's safety, protect their dignity, and help build a future where violence has no place.
