Dear GlobalGivers,
Happy new year! We are now breathing the hopeful air of 2021. You are part of this story and this hope. So many of you gave us new donations in the last few weeks, we are profoundly grateful.
So what is the news from the field- from the Mountains of Guerrero where we are working day in and day out with the local communities to end child marriage- during these last two months? The WhatsApp messages and photos continued to roll in from our facilitators Paty and Benito throughout December, and I am excited to share a few more photos with you- as the workshops have continued that you, GlobalGiver, are making possible. Check out the photo of Paty with a rose, as part of the local tradition of asking the Virgin of Guadalupe to help your work.
In just one week we start this year´s workshops with the communities of Guerrero and this week we are putting finishing touches on new materials made specifically to respond to the challenges of making change happen in the midst of Covid-19. Can´t wait to tell you more about them soon.
In gratitude,
Shoshana and the Yo quiero Yo puedo team
