We started our activities with our "Dia de Reyes" party, a very important Mexican celebration! A new academic year started and our yearly gathering with our staff and girls was also held in January.
Also in January, one of our girls who graduated from High School last summer had her first day in the Faculty of Medicine in the University of Baja California, a goal hard to achieve, and now a new challenge!!!! We are so proud of her!
Another of our girls received her High School diploma, we wish her our best in her search for new accademic oportunities.
During this quarter we started our Chapel remodelation, we are very close to have it finished.
As extra curricular activities we held a conference with writer Angeles Donate, who presented her book "Life is a cup of tea" to the girls, they were very exited to have her and ver interested in her conversation. They enjoyed very much having her as a guest.
In Mexicali there is a Missing Child Mothers association, on March 8th part of this group came to our home to chat with our girls. They shared their testimony and they tried to make the girls aware of the dangers, how to comunicate any threat and seak for proteccion if they feel vulnerable. This was a very moving event.
We look forward to a very succesful and productive next quarter!
We thank you again for your support!!!!
