During the months of May, June, and July 2026, El Buen Pastor carried out a variety of educational, cultural, recreational, and community activities. These initiatives were designed to support the girls and young women in their personal and academic development, while also creating opportunities to strengthen relationships with their families and the community.
May
In May, the girls participated in a Theater Day, an activity that provided them with an opportunity to enjoy a cultural experience in a fun and welcoming environment. The event encouraged creativity, participation, and social interaction.
On May 30, El Buen Pastor held a special Holy Trinity celebration and gathering. The girls, staff, and other members of the community came together to share a meal and enjoy time together. It was a joyful occasion that promoted fellowship and strengthened the sense of community.
During this period, five young women also completed the Nursing Assistant training program and received their certificates. This represents an important achievement, as the training provided them with practical skills that can contribute to future employment opportunities and greater independence.
June
In June, a Family Day was organized, bringing the girls and their families together for a special gathering. The activity offered an opportunity to share meaningful time, encourage family involvement, and reinforce the importance of maintaining strong and supportive family relationships.
A school-year closing gathering was also held for the girls, giving them an opportunity to celebrate the completion of another academic period. They shared a meal and enjoyed time together in a relaxed and positive atmosphere, recognizing their effort and commitment throughout the school year.
July
July was a particularly meaningful month as El Buen Pastor celebrated the end of the school year and the academic accomplishments of the girls.
This year, one student graduated from elementary school, two graduated from middle school, and four graduated from high school. In addition, two young women will be starting university, marking an important new stage in their education and personal development.
These achievements are a source of great pride and demonstrate the value of providing the girls with continued guidance, encouragement, and access to educational opportunities.
Closing
The activities and accomplishments of these three months reflect El Buen Pastor’s ongoing commitment to the education, personal development, vocational preparation, family involvement, and well-being of the girls and young women it serves.
From cultural and recreational activities to vocational training, family gatherings, graduations, and the transition to university, each achievement represents another step toward helping these young women build a more independent and promising future.
