1. Introduction
During the period from December 2024 to February 2025, the FUNCOMAS Training Center continued its mission to train and empower single mothers and young women in vulnerable situations. Through technical courses, orientation workshops, and specialized talks, we impacted approximately 100 women, providing them with practical tools for their personal and professional development.
This report presents a summary of the activities carried out and the achievements obtained in each training area.
2. Training and Education Programs 2.1 Basic and Advanced Beauty Courses
The basic and advanced beauty courses had the participation of 45 women (45% of the total beneficiaries). The training covered topics such as:
- Hair care and styling
- Professional makeup techniques
- Manicure and pedicure
- Facial and body treatments
- Management of small beauty businesses
By the end of the course, 60% of participants started offering beauty services independently, while 15% secured job opportunities in beauty salons or related businesses.
2.2 Protocol and Etiquette Course
This course was attended by 30 women (30% of total beneficiaries). Its objective was to improve personal presentation and conduct in different social and professional environments. The main topics covered were:
- Personal image and presentation
- Etiquette for meetings and events
- Effective communication
- Behavior in social and work settings
After completing the course, 85% of attendees reported feeling more confident in their social and professional interactions.
2.3 Personal Finance Talks for Women Entrepreneurs
These sessions were attended by 40 women (40% of total beneficiaries) and focused on:
- Financial planning and money management
- Saving and investment strategies
- Budgeting techniques
- Access to microloans and business funding
70% of the participants began applying saving and budgeting strategies in their daily lives, and 30% expressed interest in starting a small business using their new financial knowledge.
2.4 Orientation Talks on Gender-Based Violence
The gender-based violence talks had the highest attendance, with 65 women (65% of total beneficiaries). Key topics covered included:
- Recognizing signs of violence and abuse
- Women’s rights and available support resources
- Prevention strategies and empowerment
- Support networks and legal counseling
As a result, 5 women (8% of attendees) identified themselves as being in at-risk situations and received guidance on accessing legal and psychological support.
3. Results and Achievements
- 100 women participated in the courses and workshops offered.
- 60% of beauty course graduates started offering services independently, while 15% found jobs in the sector.
- 70% of finance workshop attendees began applying saving and budgeting strategies.
- 85% of protocol course participants reported increased confidence in social and professional settings.
- 5 women in situations of domestic violence received counseling and guidance to seek legal and psychological support.
4. Conclusions and Recommendations
The period from December 2024 to February 2025 was highly productive at the FUNCOMAS Training Center, achieving significant positive impacts on the lives of its beneficiaries. Continuing these programs is essential to further promote the empowerment and socioeconomic integration of women.
We recommend:
- Expanding the range of technical courses, including areas such as sewing, baking, and technology, to diversify job opportunities.
- Establishing partnerships with financial institutions that can offer accessible microloans to women entrepreneurs.
- Strengthening the support network for women facing domestic violence by collaborating with organizations specializing in legal and psychological assistance.
FUNCOMAS reaffirms its commitment to continuing its work in training and supporting single mothers and young women in vulnerable situations, contributing to their development and well-being.
