Help Fund a Children's Burn Unit in Uganda

               Greetings from whisper's magical children's hospital. We would like to thank all our donors that have supported our Help Fund a Children’s Burns Unit in Uganda.

               Whisper’s Magical Children’s Hospital is well known for the proper management of burns cases. Many children from eastern uganda and uganda as a whole get burnt by reckless maids or even mothers but we as whisper's we have managed to treat and heal all those children.

                Everyday we receive cases of severe burns at our hospital as most of these cases are burnt with hot water or soups due to the negligence of the caretakers.Treatment of these burns patients is one of the most expensive procedures and services that we offer at our hospital. Without your help, it would be hard to save the lives of these children. 

 We are very grateful with your help we were able to save the lives of 15 children who had severe burns in the last three months.

Some of these children get severe burns that they may even require plastic surgery.

We are so happy that the lives of these 15 children were saved and did not receive any deaths.

On discharge, we continue to monitor these children till they fully recover.

This month we have received quite a number of patients with burns and most of them are burnt 75% of the their whole body!

We continue to receive more of such cases, and they are usually brought when they are almost rotting since they first mange with local herbs like charcoal at home. this slows down the healing process of the burns since they get infected  plus the hygiene of the patients in the homes is not that good. most patients fear to bring children to hospitals because managing burns is quite expensive and the things we use especially for the routine dressing are expensive! which makes the whole healing prossess costly.

We have sofar raised $21,878  of $35,000 goal.  It is with your kind support that we have gone this far and we have been able to save more of the babies with burns here at whispers Magical children's hospital and Maternity. We are so appreciative of your endless support.
