We would like to thank everyone who is donating towards our burns project. In the previous three months Whisper's Magical Children's Hospital and Maternity received a total number of 2,319 patients and among these, 15 patients were admitted for burns. Most of the burns were severe with total burn surface area of each child above 9%.
We didn't record any death, all the 15 children recovered well. Among the 15 children we received with burns include a one year old baby boy whose face got burnt by hot water causing a 9% total burn surface area on his face. He was adimitted in emergency unit, dressed, treated and monitored by our caring and loving nurses and doctors.
We are so happy that our lovely boy can smile again after a great improvement. He was discharged and will be coming back every after two days for review.
Great thanks to all our donors supporting this project. Many children with burns are given a chance to receive the best treatment and care.
