The Tekkatho Foundation keeps the door of education open to everyone in Myanmar by building and delivering MyLibraries. Each MyLibrary is a self-contained digital-library-in-a box that works even in places with no internet connection. We pack each one with thousands of educational resources selected for Myanmar learners, including the new national curriculum and vocational training courses.
Along with the MyLibraries, we provide low-cost tablets and solar panels where needed, so learning can truly happen everywhere.
Here at Yaw Kyaw Toe school in the delta region, there is no internet access or reliable electricity. But with a Tekkatho MyLibrary and solar energy, learning continues into the night with vocational evening courses on digital skills and frontline healthcare, including maternity and childbirth.
Thank you again for supporting the Tekkatho Foundation through GlobalGiving. We remain determined to extend access to education as far as possible in Myanmar. Every single donation you make enables lifelong learning to continue, wherever people live.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
