I FUNDANICA PROJECT PROGRESS REPORT

By MARISELA UZCATEGUI | Projetc Leader

Dear Friends and GlobalGiving Team,
This Project Report accounts for the use of donation resources received from generous people like you through our GlobalGiving project: Help Save Children with Cancer in Venezuela.
The period of this report corresponds to March-April 2025, being that FUNDANICA was approved as a GlobalGiving partner this year and we are starting to raise through this platform.
Each of you, some identified and some anonymous, added up big through occasional donations and participation in the Little x Little fundraising campaign.
Their generosity allowed us to support 12% of the little patients of FUNDANICA, in treatment of 5 of the 15 types of cancer that we registered.
70% of the children who benefited from their solidarity remain in the fight against the disease; we deeply regret the mortality of 30%, an indicator that ratifies our challenge to raise the survival rate in Venezuela.
We hope that through this report you will be able to perceive how great your contribution has been and also that others will join this cause in Venezuela, a country that is suffering from a deep humanitarian crisis.
Childhood cancer is curable, it is not preventable; It's an unexpected visitor! We need support to save children with cancer in Venezuela by providing them with access to diagnostic tests, quality treatments, specialized evaluations and follow-up on their path to remission. In Venezuela, the family must cover the costs of exams, medical-surgical supplies, antineoplastic and pain treatment medications and specialized evaluations that the Public Health System does not provide. The low income of the population and the high cost of facing the disease demand action and solidarity.
On behalf of children with cancer and their families
INFINITE THANKS !!
Marisela Uzcátegui
