HOW TO MAKE INFUSIONS AND CREAMS?
Based on this question, the students in first and second grade conducted experiments and research to find answers. Jose, Viviana, and their family of four brought a microscope and shared their knowledge about plants with the students. The students were able to observe and explore various plant characteristics such as leaf shape, stomata, chlorophyll, red blood cells, and dicotyledons (small twigs that start a plant).
Additionally, the students visited Hampi Mama, a local project that promotes the use of medicinal plants. Leticia, one of the project's promoters, shared her wisdom with the children about caring for and using medicinal plants, and even taught them how to make some tinctures.
As a result, the students prepared rich digestive infusions and a cream for muscle pain, which they shared with their families. Thank you to Creative Spirits for this wonderful learning opportunity!
WATER: AN ELEMENT OF ENJOYMENT AND LEARNING
- Being in water is not only relaxing and enjoyable, but it also allows children to better understand their bodies and achieve a sense of well-being.
- Being in water can boost self-confidence and facilitate movement.
- Being in water can enhance motor skills and coordination through floating, improving gestures and movements.
Water activities can foster stronger relationships and create magical moments between classmates and teachers.
Thanks to the effort of both families and teachers, all of our students were able to participate in swimming classes every two weeks for four months. It's important to note that this activity has a high cost, as the only available pool is located 26 km from Ollantaytambo.
