It's been a year and a few months since we launched this project, and thanks to the generosity of our donors around the world, we're continuing to teach computer skills to young girls in Lomé and the surrounding area.
We admit that the task is not at all easy due to the lack of computer equipment and adequate funding to hire more trainers (and also to provide a little support to the volunteers who supply us) so that we can welcome more students, but we are not giving up because all these young girls are counting on us to be the leaders of tomorrow.
Since the launch of this project, we have trained more than 30 young girls from Lomé and the surrounding area in computer skills; 5 have become volunteers in our organisation and are sharing their skills and experience with the new students; 15 have found jobs in local organisations thanks to our post-training follow-up programme; the other 10 have found well-paid jobs in various organisations in the capital and the surrounding area, again thanks to our post-training follow-up program!
On behalf of the entire board of our organisation, I would like to thank all those who continue to believe in us and our project, and who continue to support us.
