After the May 2014 floods, many families were displaced as a result. We have been helping families by providing resources for kids who were affected and thus ameliorating in some ways their plight.
Nikola is one of those kids. After the flooding, his family lost everything. His childhood home was ruined and forced the family, which includes his parents, brother and a sister to move into a rented space for more than eight months. Due to circumstances, the family was forced to pay for home repairs themselves. All of this was happening while Nikola was finalizing his elementary school education and preparing for the high school entrance exam. Donors such as yourself were able to help Nikola continue his education.
Today, Nikola is in his third-year of high school. He is studying electrical and computer engineering and would like to continue his education at the applied studies level. He is also proficient in foreign languages and taught himself English.
Over the past year, Pomoc Deci has been able to provide scholarships, daily hot meals or sets of books and we would like to continue to be able to do so. In order to continue, we need your help. This project is reliant solely on donors such as yourself and 100% of the donation goes towards providing for these children. The donation can be as low as $12 which would provide a hot meal for onemonth for one child, or as high as $500 which would provide a scholarship for one student for the year, or anything in between.
Don’t forget to connect with Pomoc Deci on our website and facebook page. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing the fundraiser with your friends.
