WE DID IT! This year, one of our goals was to make the 2018 Top Ten Non-Profits Committed to Impact with Global Giving. We worked very hard on training and learning tools, plus we worked long hours to try to make that goal a reality. Today the winners are being announced and….. WE MADE THE TOP TEN! WE ARE #6- out of thousands of organizations who competed for this special honor. We are so excited for what this means to us. We will receive a very nice monetary award, and it also means we can potentially have some contact or exposure to some of the corporations that support Global Giving. That could turn the corner for us and we are so appreciative of all the wonderful things Global Giving has given us so far. This is just an incredible accomplishment. We’ve been on pins and needles since the competition and all of our work was being evaluated a couple of months ago. This is a real dream come true! We will use this opportunity to take Sugar’s Gift to the next level, so stay tuned and watch this space…..
Global Giving will rotate the winners on their website, so you may see us pop up on the site when you visit. Nikki is just on cloud 9 right now and this means so much. Thank you Global Giving for such a gift for Nikki and for Sugar’s Gift!

Remember that 100% of your donations go to helping our babies – yes, 100%. Every dollar counts – and as we always say…..they all add up! Any amount helps because we are becoming a go-to for pet owners who what their babies to be at home where they are comfortable in their last moments, instead of being at a vet’s office where it can be very scary. We know you all help in every way you can and spreading the word about is really helps. Word of mouth and internet searches are the most popular way people find us. So, please, spread the word to help us get more donations. The busier we become, the more funds we need to help the Little Angels. And, thank you for trusting us with your funds because we know you have many options for your charitable giving, and we thank you a million times for choosing to give some to us. We keep our costs low so every dollar we receive in charitable donations goes to helping the Little Angels cross the Rainbow Bridge from home.
We like to state our mission here and the reasons you wonderful donors have donated your hard-earned money to us. It has changed a little because we are receiving a lot of calls from pet owners who simply want what we wanted for Sugar: to have their babies cross the Bridge from home instead of being at a vet’s office. We are grateful for this new set of pets and owners we have helped, as they are willing to donate to us to ensure their Angels are at peace and comfortable in those last moments:
Sugar’s Gift, Inc.™: Our mission is to provide hospice, euthanasia and end-of-life veterinary services for terminally ill pets in their own homes. This allows them a comfortable, peaceful setting, where they have lived and been loved, to cross over the Rainbow Bridge with dignity. Our services overcome conditions that could be due to the pet’s inability to be moved or treated at a facility, or due to the owner’s inability to leave the home. Our services also include those individuals who can afford veterinary care but prefer to donate to an organization that can help their pets cross the Rainbow Bridge from home with comfort, dignity and peace.
Our 10-year old Yorkie, Sugar, passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2013. We made sure she crossed over the Rainbow Bridge from home with comfort, dignity and peace. Sugar’s Gift to your Little Angel is to allow them the same privilege: Sugar is helping them cross over the Rainbow Bridge from home, with the help from others who have donated funds to make that happen. Every Little Angel should be able to spend their last moments in the place they are most comfortable – at home.
Sugar’s Gift, Inc.™ is the only non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization in the country whose mission is to help terminally ill pets cross over the Rainbow Bridge from home with comfort, dignity and peace.
You will receive a report shortly about all the Little Angels we have helped recently, but we wanted to share this announcement with you on the day it is being broadcast. We couldn’t do any of this without your help, so thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Please help us spread the word about Sugar’s Gift and this major accomplishment – a real milestone in our overall plan!
And, please take a look at our new logo….
