Thank you for your continued support of the amazing HeroDOGs!
Already this year (to date), across Cambodia, South Sudan and Turkey alone, our HeroDOGs have cleared in excess of 3 million square meters, which is truly amazing! Your support allows communities across the world to live, play and work safely for the first time in some people's lives. We cannot fathom what it feels like to be fearful of every step, and your support frees people from that fear - thank you.
The last quarter has seen our HeroDOGs continue to clear the cluster munitions alongside the notorious Ho Chi Minh Trail in Cambodia. Your support has helped us in this mission and the remnants of the Vietnam war are being cleared as you read this report, thanks to support such as yours.
In Turkey, our HeroDOG operations are gathering pace and the teams are working towards the completion of clearing all the mines on the Eastern Border. This is a huge accomplishment and we are hugely thankful for your support, which allowed for this expansion of our operational programs.
In South Sudan, the dogs are going through maintenance training, to keep them in shape for the upcoming season that will start in November.
In Azerbaijan, our team along with the six working HeroDOGs were successfully accredited by the National Mine Action Authority ANAMA and were deployed in minefields in Agdam, which is in the Karabakh Region.
HeroDOGs Retirement
We often get questions about our HeroDOGs’ retirements and in fact, the last quarter saw one of our HeroDOGs, Aria retire.
