For Over A Year Our HDU Has Been Working Wonders!

By Emily Cochrane | Project Leader

Gentle nurturing of orphan puppy
Gentle nurturing of orphan puppy

Thanks to your generous support, our High Dependency Unit has been providing vital round-the-clock care for our most vulnerable cases for over a year now.

From tiny, days-old orphan puppies to those needing surgery due to accidents, your support has ensured that our HDU is there for the puppies and dogs we rescue.

Our feline friends have also benefited significantly, with more than 50 cats and kittens admitted to our HDU throughout the year.

We sincerely appreciate all the support we have received for this project. We estimate that around 10% of patients admitted to our hospital benefit from the specialised medical and nurturing care provided by our HDU.

And our HDU has unexpectedly become an adoption hub! Given that the smallest and youngest animals tend to be in our HDU, it has become the ideal place for future pet parents to connect and fall in love.

Finally, we just had to share this super cute update photo of Stubbs. His foot was severed in a road accident, causing significant blood loss requiring weeks of care in our HDU. And look at him now, a happy-go-lucky testament to the incredible care our HDU provides!

Thank you once again for your unwavering support!
