Siam-Care invests in youth. Our biggest goal is to give hope and future to Thai children in need. Oftentimes, we succeed and children climb higher on the ladder. Sometimes, children grow so much, that they start giving back and start investing in others. Like Suk, Care and Ben.
All 3 children haven't had an easy upbringing. Parents were unavailable or not able to create a safe home. Hit by poverty and sickness, their families struggles to survive. Both Suk, Care and Ben have been receiving educational support from a young age. We gave them a chance to study and in the meanwhile, we trained and counselled them in different areas, such as health, finances and the risks of unsafe sex. Slowely but steadily, we have seen them grow.
Time to give back
All 3 are now teenagers, approaching the age of adulthood. They still study with the help of Siam-Care. Their families are doing ok, but still struggle to survive. But that doesn't mean these 3 children sit still or feel sorry for themselves. The opposite is true: all 3 have a desire to start helping others. They have received help for a long time and now feel so thankfull that they want to help others as well. How great is that?
Fight bullying.
As I am writing this, Suk, Care and Ben are doing a presentation about bullying. They have conducted a research in all of their schools and are now presenting the results at a youth camp. Their goal is to inspire people to fight bullying and to protect children in need. Our staff is extremely proud that these kids have decided to give back what they have received: love for others. They now fight for the rights of vulnerable children, while some might still consider these children themselves vulnerable as well. Way to go Suk, Care and Ben!
