Every day our staff serve the HIV and general health needs of the communities we serve. The clinic serves those who are in close proximity and have the time to make their way to the Kudvumisa clinic. For all those in distant communities There are fewer options.
While the communities are close “as the crow flies”, they can be hours away traveling on terrible gravel roads and up and down mountains. People in these communities still need access to HIV care. But the cost and time required can be too much for many people to afford. This is where our mobile outreach comes in. Our nurses and HIV Testing Service counselors mobilize almost every day to bring these life saving services to people in the communities they live.
Of course, the wear and tear on our vehicles is terrible. Mobile outreach is not a cheap option, but people’s lives are worth it!
