Dear Animal Lovers,
This report will cover just 2 of the thousands of dogs and cats our Homeless Animals Hospital program provides help for. This one of a kind social program aims to help the animals who otherwise would suffer terribly in a place that cannot or will not provide for their welfare. We rely on public donations for all our work.
They named her Stripes. Found on the side of the road. Nancy was contacted by the rescuer asking for help. Stripes arrived at Center of Hope where it was discovered she has fractured pelvis on both sides and radial nerve palsy in her right front leg making it completely unusable.
Stripes had surgery to repair her pelvis, a very delicate procedure done by Dr. Petrisor and Dr.Sasha. She also must have her unusable right front leg amputated as it is a source of pain and a burden to her mobility. She’s had bloodwork done to check for tickborne disease and heartworms. And as always she’s being spayed.
Our next story is about a dog we named Fetita. She was found roaming the highway. We were contacted asking for help. Fetita arrived at Center of Hope hospital. She has a severely deformed and damaged leg. Poor Fetita also suffers from severe mange. She’s also given birth to countless puppies who themselves have suffered an unknown fate. Fetita is undergoing amputation for her painful leg, having lots of bloodwork done to check for tickborne disease and heartworm. She is also being spayed.
Upon our posts on Facebook, Stripes has found a home to go to in Germany and Fetita has found a home in the UK.
