Dear Friends and Supporters,
Thank you for your support for the Homeless Animals Hospital project of Romania Animal Rescue. We have been working extremely hard to save many animals at the Family Vet clinic in Craiova and on our mobile spay campaigns throughout the country. The mobile ambulance HOPE has held tremendous campaigns this year, with 3 in May in poor villages surrounding Craiova as well as villages near Bucharest, Rosiori de Verde, and for individuals who have many animals that need our help. We are able to provide this service for the impoverished peoples animals thanks to you.
The new Center of Hope building itself is now complete! I am happy to share this great news! But we need to begin purchasing infrastructure, such as heating and air, indoor plumbing, floors, and the equipment that will allow our vets and techs to begin work. I have attached photos of the Center for your review. Once supplies and infrastructure are in place, this Center will be helping the animals from the villages and towns surrounding Bucharest in Ilfov County. There are an estimated 110,000 dogs at households, countless strays, and an unknown number of cats. There are numerous private shelters and rescuers that are to receive our help as well.
The Center of Hope will be the headquarters for the Homeless Animals Hospital in Bucharest region, the spay and neuter Center, Center for the Veterinary Training Camp, and Education/Seminar and Learning Center. It will also be the launch point for HOPE mobile clinic. The first floor will be for incoming patients, surgery, medical care, spay/neuter, vet tutoring, quarantine, the laboratory, and room for laundry etc. The second story will house the Education/Seminar/ Learning Center. There are also rooms and a kitchen for vets and techs, for visiting vets, and for volunteers to rent when they visit.
