Greetings to you all!

We hope this update finds you well.  We have some fabulous news!  Our Center of Hope, the Bucharest vicinity location for the Homeless Animals Hospital project, is now fully up and running!

This Center serves Ilfov County and many poor villages that otherwise would not have access to veterinary care.

Our Veterinary Technician, Ruth Osborne, gave us this report about a very special patient from the local village:

"It’s a regular day at Center of Hope, when the doorbell rings and we find two girls at the gate from the village with their dog Nobi. She was heavily pregnant and had been having contractions for a day. The girls were so scared for Nobi’s life and didn't know what to do. She was rushed into surgery. Thanks to people like you who donate we can look after those in need without thinking twice, and Nobi's life was saved. When her owners came to collect her they said it was like Heaven and they couldn't believe a clinic like this was to help people like them. It just goes to show every penny donated has the possibility to change a life."

And we were thrilled as well…this is what makes the world go round for our veterinary team!

We also now have the Spay Shuttle van that brings in animals from surrounding villages for spay neuter and veterinary care at the Center of Hope, part of our Homeless Animals Hospital program.   Thus far, we have spayed and neutered over 1400 animals in 2017 in Bucharest area, Campineanca, Adjud, Craiova, Buhusi, Panciu, Moreni, Comanesti, Biliesti  with our mobile and clinic programs in Romania, and made a trip to Bulgaria to help.   We have many campaigns upcoming, and will be welcoming Zach Skow and Marleys Mutts to visit our Center and sponsor a mass spayathon in late  May, as well as Dr. Jennifer Scarlett, President of San Francisco SPCA who will be volunteering for us in early May.

Your support is vital to keep this program going so that we can reach the most animals with the best care.   Please continue to support us, and thank you!
