Summary
This project is designed to support homeless families living on the streets by providing empowerment, counselling, de-addiction and vocational training and to bring them to the main stream of the society. This project also aims to gain support for setting up a short stay home of the people living on the streets.
Challenge
These people are neglected by the society as they live on the streets. They are not respected as they lack education, consumption of alcohol and poverty.
Solution
Prime Trust is keen to take an initiative to create a home which supports 10 homeless women along with their children in the home. The center will provide support for counselling and guidance, de-addiction and rehabilitation. We will also provide them vocational training and micro credit for their financial stability. The children are supported through our Evening School.
Long-Term Impact
To empower and support these individuals reintegrate into society without having to live on the streets.
Updates
During this academic year, the children are given school supplies such as School Bags, Note Books and chapels. The children below the age of 3 years are given admission to our Play School and school going children are admitted into our Evening School. Awareness programs are offered on a regular basis. Attempts are being taken to form Self Help Groups.
