Summary
Prime Trust aims to establish a centre for homeless and offer them services to improve their quality of life. Our project will provide empowerment, counseling, de-addiction and vocational training to help these individuals to undergo transition from a life of poverty and to integrate them into our society.
Challenge
The urban poor who dwell on payments have to undergo many challenges such as alcoholism, poverty and illiteracy. The entire family lives on the streets with poor hygiene and without basic amenities. Even though the government provides facilities, the community does not utilize them. Their lack of financial resources, education and home stability result in them living in cycles of poverty and homelessness.
Solution
Initially, we aim to support women and children by providing vocational training for women and Evening Classes for the children. Initiatives have been taken to start micro credit program for the community. Frequent awareness generation camps on health and hygiene, alcoholism are offered by our staff members.
Long-Term Impact
By our regular intervention, the community will gain the benefits we intend to offer. By providing vocational training, the women will be made self sustainable. Through the programs offered by Prime Trust, the children will have good education. Thereby, the community will be reintegrated into the main stream.
