Hope for Pearl

Dear Donor,

       Thank you for your trust and support in the "Hope for Pearl". Since the project was launched on GlobalGiving, we have raised a total of $4,024 (approximately 29,109 RMB). This amount will support three financially disadvantaged yet academically excellent high school students to complete their studies.

     

        The "Hope for Pear" was initiated by the Zhejiang Xin Hua Compassion Education Foundation (“Xin Hua Education Foundation” XHEF in short). It aims to help junior and senior high school students from relatively poor family backgrounds complete their high school education and provide them with fair and quality educational opportunities. Since its launch in 2004, the program has achieved significant results nationwide, lighting the way for many underprivileged students. By December 2024, the program had established 2,061 "Pearl Classes" in 232 high schools across 25 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions, benefiting over 96,000 financially disadvantaged yet academically excellent junior and senior high school students. These numbers represent countless stories of changed destinies through education and renewed hope for many impoverished families.

       

          Cooperating schools waive the tuition and accommodation fees for "Pearl Students" during their schooling. XHEF through the donations of caring individuals, provides each "Pearl Student" with a living allowance of 7,500 RMB over three years. This amount is distributed to the students in 10 monthly installments of 2,500 RMB per year, ensuring their basic living needs are met during their school days.

       

         In 2025, the "Hope for Pear" will continue to adhere to its original mission, expanding its coverage to assist more financially disadvantaged yet academically excellent students in realizing their educational dreams. The program will also deepen its character education, exploring a more diverse range of student growth support systems to promote holistic development and cultivate more outstanding talents for society. We look forward to joining hands with more caring individuals on the GlobalGiving platform, contributing together to educational philanthropy, and letting love and hope shine brightly in the hearts of every "pearl".
