Dear Esteemed Donors,

We write to you today with immense gratitude and a profound sense of appreciation for your generous contributions towards the establishment and sustenance of the Hostel for Tribal Girls in Tripura, India. Your unwavering support has been instrumental in transforming the lives of young tribal girls in our community, providing them with opportunities for education, empowerment, and a brighter future.

As you may be aware, the Hostel for Tribal Girls project aims to address the pressing need for safe and secure accommodation for girls from marginalized tribal communities in Tripura. Many of these girls face significant challenges in accessing quality education due to socioeconomic barriers, lack of infrastructure, and cultural constraints. The hostel will serve as a sanctuary where they will be able  to pursue their studies in a supportive environment conducive to learning and personal growth.

Thanks to the generosity of many benefactors, the hostel was opened. Construction took a long time because of the difficult terrain, the covid-19 pandemic and also the heavy rains that prevented work from being carried out for long periods. Work is still underway to drill a well for the house and equip it.

Your generous donations are the greatest need as Tripura lies in a geographically disadvantageous location in India and only one major highway connects it with the rest of the country. The easiest and fastest mode of travelling is the airplane. Therefore poor people have little opportunity to go out of the state. The state has a tropical climate, and receives seasonal heavy rains. Forests cover more than half of the area, in which bamboo tracts are common. Due to its geographical isolation, economic progress in the state is hindered. Poverty and unemployment continue to plague Tripura, which has a limited infrastructure. Most residents are involved in agriculture.

We remain committed to upholding the trust you have placed in us and pledge to continue our efforts to create a nurturing environment where every girl can thrive and realize her full potential.

With deepest appreciation,
