While COVID-19 has taken the spotlight in vaccination campaigns across the globe, HPV and Cervical Cancer continue to be a significant problem in Mali. It is known that the HPV vaccine is a highly effective way of preventing the development Cervical Cancer. However, the HPV vaccine continues to be unavailable in Mali.
GAIA Vaccine Foundation continues to actively advocate for the availability of the HPV vaccine in Mali. In the meantime, GAIA VF continues to educate Malian teenagers in the Teen Peer Education program about how they can protect themselves against sexually transmitted diseases such as HPV.
In February 2022, 80 teens attended the Teen Peer Education program. Support GAIA Vaccine Foundation to prevent HPV and spread knowledge on sexual health and how to protect one's self today.
