Dear Donor,
we hope you are well! We'd like to bring you the news of our earthquake relief for 8 villages in the Kunar region, Afghanistan.
Our local partners provided support to those affected in eight particularly hard-hit villages. In preparation for the very cold winter, 300 kits were distributed to families with children, providing them with basic necessities.
A total of 10 mobile latrines and hand washing facilities were installed to ensure clean water and better hygiene. Each latrine serves up to six households.
In 54 psychosocial sessions, our partners offered men, women and children a space to process trauma and strengthen their mental well-being. These sessions reached over 900 people affected by the earthquakes.
Even with the good news however, we still rely on your support. Afghanistan is experiencing the largest humanitarian crisis in the world. That is because of the economic collapse, the deterioration of the finance and health sector, extreme droughts and international sanctions after the Taliban took power.
Therefore, we are grateful for any donation that helps us to contribute to a sustainable positive development of the country. In this context, we'd also be very happy if you shared our work with your colleagues or family and friends!
If you want to stay informed about the developments in Afghanistan as well as about our other projects, feel free to follow us on Instagram!
Until then all the best,
Viktoria
