Every person living with HIV/AIDS deserves dignity, respect, and acceptance. However, stigma and misinformation continue to create barriers that can affect emotional well-being and social participation.
The Girl Child Foundation Uganda promotes acceptance through counseling, peer support, HIV education, and community engagement. We create safe environments where people can speak openly about their experiences and receive compassionate guidance.
Our counseling sessions help participants strengthen self-esteem, manage difficult emotions, and develop positive coping strategies. Peer groups provide encouragement and a sense of community, while life-skills sessions help young people make informed decisions about their lives.
We also work with caregivers and community members to challenge harmful misconceptions and promote supportive relationships.
Donor support will enable us to reach more vulnerable people with these important services. Together, we can build communities where young people living with HIV/AIDS are accepted, respected, and empowered to live with confidence.
