There are so many dangerous and fatal diseases in the present world which make us their victims. Tuberclosis (T.B. MDR & XDR) is one such disease snatches the life of its patient. The patients of T.B. lose their weight all of a sudden and malnutritions leads them to death. The patients who are poor and belong to deprived community, in the lack of money, are not able to take the required protein diet which force them to face severe problems.
Madan, is one of those poor patients who were severely affected by MDR T.B. The activists of Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan visited him and came to know about his problems which is here described in his words.
I am Madan, 43 years of age reside at village Kekri. I have wife and two children in my family and I have the responsibility of their nurturing and education. But for the last one and half year eversince I got affected from T.B., I have lost my job and have to face financial crisis also both of my children have become school drop-out. Gradually I lost my weight and it reached to 35 kg only. The lack of finance didn't allow me to take the required protein diet and my health was getting worst. This was the time when I gave up and lost all hope to live, I thought to commit sucide many times.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan came to my life just as the messenger of God. For the last seven months,the organization, with the support of the donors, has been providing me the protein diet as pulses, eggs, soyabean pulses, gram, protein-x, etc. which helped me to recover my health. Regular protein diet gaine me weight which now reached to 54 kg. and now I am almost recovered. Most importantly, I have started doing my job. I will remain thankful to Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, the donors and GlobalGiving Foundation that helped me to recover.
