A Impactful Story of Babu from Ground ......!!
My name is Babu (Name Changed) and I am 45 years old. I live with my wife and two children. I work in mines as a daily wages labour and my earnings are enough to provide two times meal to the family. My wife is housewife and she takes care of the children. One Day I started coughing and then it didn’t stopped. I went to the nearest hospital and there I came to know that I was diagnosed with Tuberculosis. My wife started crying after this but then the doctor told her that it would not be fatal if I would take proper medication as well as proper diet. Then there was a relief on her face but later the doctor told that I had to be admitted to hospital and I had to take proper rest and not go to work anywhere in order to have speedy recovery. This was a serious problem for us as we didn’t had much savings as I was daily wages labour and all my earning were used to meet the daily expenses of the family. Still my wife managed to provide two times meal to me and my children by taking some money from her relatives but then the doctor said that this food is not proper nutritious food.
After being admitted for many days, one day a person in the hospital came to me and my wife and started asking for our documents as he told us that there are some people from RSKS India who would provide nutritious food to me for free. My wife quickly gave the photocopied documents to the RSKS Team and then they enrolled my name on their list. RSKS team provided nutrition kit for free every month to many TB patients like me who belong from the poor strata of the society this is what the other patients who were part of this program told me. After this the RSKS team members called my wife to have the nutrition kit and wife told that all the program was done while following the safety protocols like social distancing, mask wearing etc.
My wife had a big smile on her face as the nutrition kit contained eggs, soya bean, moong dal, oats, black gram etc essential nutrition items. I received the support of nutrition kit under the Humanity: Relief To The Helpless project of RSKS India and I received the nutrition kit regularly for seven months. I am very happy to tell everyone that now I have recovered from the Tuberculosis and I am living my normal life like the early days. This was only possible due to genuine support of RSKS India as I received the proper medication from the hospital but my family was not able to provide my nutritious food but then when RSKS India gave all the essential nutritious food then my wife was able to cook them for me and through that proper food I was able to have speedy recovery. Me and my family thank RSKS India from bottom of our heart for becoming our savior at the moment when we needed.
