In the heart of Rajasthan, the struggle for survival among marginalized families is exacerbated by the compounded challenges of food insecurity and inadequate access to hygiene essentials. Some of these families grapple with socio-economic vulnerabilities, leaving them on the fringes of nutritional well-being and proper health practices. Limited resources and adverse conditions make it challenging for them to secure the most basic necessities, amplifying the risk of health issues and perpetuating a cycle of poverty.
To counter the pressing challenges faced by marginalized families, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan organized "Essential Aid to Marginalized Families Program." The initiative aimed to bridge the gap for vulnerable families, ensuring they had access to essential food items and hygiene products. A door-to-door survey was conducted by the dedicated team from RSKS India. Then the food kits comprised of flour, lentils/pulses, sugar, refined oil, rice, salt, chili powder, coriander powder, and turmeric powder was provided to each of the 6 families identified during the Door to Door Survey. In addition to the food kits, RSKS India extended support through hygiene kits, recognizing the importance of promoting better health practices. These hygiene kits included essential items such as bathing soap and washing soap, emphasizing the significance of personal hygiene, especially during challenging times.
The "Provide Food And Hygiene Kits To Marginalized Families Program" implemented by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan has left a long lasting impact on the lives of six marginalized families across three villages.The items provided in the kits ensured a balanced and diverse diet, contributing to improved overall health outcomes, particularly for vulnerable members such as children and the elderly. The inclusion of hygiene kits played a pivotal role in promoting better health practices within these marginalized communities. The program's success is evident in the expressions of gratitude from the beneficiaries, who not only received essential items but also experienced a sense of dignity and care.
