Hygiene Awareness Program for 200 Families

By Francis Osisiogu | Project Leader

We are pleased to share that the Hygiene Awareness Program for 200 Families in Zamfara State has officially commenced with strong community interest and early implementation progress. Although fundraising is still ongoing and the full target of $2,000 has not yet been reached, initial planning activities have been carried out using available internal support and pledged contributions to prevent delays in delivery. Priority has been placed on cost-effective budgeting to ensure that every dollar received directly supports beneficiary families.

Current financial allocations have focused on preparatory expenses, including community mobilization, procurement planning for hygiene kits, training materials development, and logistics coordination with local volunteers. Bulk purchasing strategies are being explored to reduce the cost of soap, disinfectants, buckets, and other essential hygiene supplies, allowing more families to benefit within the available budget.

Community engagement efforts have already identified vulnerable households, and implementation partners are helping to map distribution routes to minimize transportation costs. As additional donations are received, funds will immediately be directed toward purchasing hygiene kits, facilitating awareness sessions, and monitoring follow-up visits.

With continued financial support, the project remains on track to reach all 200 families, improve household hygiene practices, and reduce preventable illnesses in the target communities. Every contribution at this stage is critical to accelerating impact and ensuring efficient delivery of planned activities.
