Resilience for 1000Left-behind kids in Rural China

January 1st -3rd in 2022, at the beginning of the New Year, we went back to Shiai Primary School to re-visit the left-behind children. We played game with children: chopsticks table tennis. We feel gratified, after a summer learning classTeamwork, the students did not complain about each other, but quickly sat down to discuss improvement plan. We listened to the child's dream: "I have a dream" speech in camp. This time, we want to hear stories about kids' dreams. So we arranged a speech class. "I want to be a cook, I want grandpa and grandmother eat delicious food around the world" "My dream is to be an astronaut, exploring other available planets for human living." "My dream is to become a dance teacher, since Miss Lee (one of the Grow program volunteer ) taught me to dance, I like to dance, also hope that more children can experience the joy of dancing!" "Thank you! Grow teacher! Because of your encouragement, I will insist on dancing." The children shared their own ideals, own stories, so confident, calm and steady. I think that's the answer to resilience camp. We welcomed the New Year together: Christmas party. On Christmas party, we sang together, danced together, also made a love card to family. We really hope the children's New Year wishes come true. I am looking forward to the joyful time on the playground and the reunion with the children in 2022.
