Passing on the Seeds of Love and Hope

By Kevin Guang | Program Volunteer

In April 2025, Shining Star Organization launched a two-day and two-night Resilience leadership training. Throughout the training, the project team consistently centered on the theme of "Being a Sower of Love and Hope," imparting the seeds of love and hope to 19 team leaders. It is hoped that by midsummer, these seeds will also be planted in the hearts of rural children, taking root, sprouting, and blossoming into beautiful flowers in the days to come. Reflecting on the journey of Shining Star Organization, these young leaders grew even more determined in their conviction to carry the seeds of love and hope into the hearts of those they would serve this summer. During the "Team Self-Portrait" session, the leaders generously shared their valuable experiences, offering reference and inspiration to other teams. In the evening, the "Library" session featured four "librarians" deeply connected with Shining Star Organization. They shared their insights, experiences, and reflections on themes such as "Resonance," "How Helping Others Helps Ourselves," "Are Left-Behind Children Really Different?" and "The Unescapable Mountains," sparking deep emotional resonance among the leaders. The second day focused on resilience curriculum experiences and positive discipline training. Through role-playing and guided discussions, the leaders gained a deeper understanding of the core needs behind students' challenging behaviors and explored how to implement "Positive Discipline in the Classroom" to build meaningful connections with children. During the "Adventure of the Resilient Child" journey, the growth experiences of rural children were vividly portrayed through simulations of their life journeys. This helped participants develop a clearer understanding of the children they would serve. Combined with the principles of positive discipline, the training also emphasized providing proper guidance to children facing setbacks in their growth. "Click!" The sound of the camera shutter marked the final snapshot, capturing the smiles of everyone present and signaling the official conclusion of the three-day leadership training. Through a series of experiential activities, Shining Star Organization passed on the seeds of love and hope to these team leaders. Now, these 19 leaders have taken up the seeds from the project team and will carry them to rural areas this summer, planting them in the hearts of rural children. Together, we look forward to the day when these seeds will break through the soil and grow toward the sun. Share on Twitter Share on Facebook
