Dear Donor,
we hope you are well! We'd like to bring you the news of our program for 6 schools in the Balkh region, Afghanistan.
In collaboration with our partner OASE, numerous improvements have been implemented at six schools in the province of Balkh to enhance the quality of education.
School buildings have been renovated, classrooms refurbished, and furniture repaired or replaced. This means that students can now work in a better learning environment. New block toilets, septic tanks, hand washing stations, flood tanks, and deep wells provide clean water and better hygiene so that all children can attend classes regularly.
Two psychologists and two in-school assistants provide weekly group and individual sessions for 120 students on stress management, self-confidence, problem solving, and communication. Feedback from students, teachers, and school administrators has been consistently positive.
Female and male school principals and vice principals have completed workshops on leadership, management, communication, and conflict resolution, significantly strengthening their knowledge and administrative skills. The School Development Councils are working on strategies for financing and better cooperation between schools, administration, and the community.
In addition, two air-conditioned containers have been set up and laptops, printers, LCDs, generators, stationery, and office equipment have been provided for the project staff.
Without your support, our work would not be possible. If you want to stay up to date with our work and get more insights, feel free to follow us on Instagram!
Until then all the best,
Viktoria
