With infections still rising, many people think that for Nepal, the worst is yet to come. With an open border with India, it's very hard to control the movement of people. Severe lockdowns since March have left many families on the brink of starvation as their work has dried up.
We are continuing to support families in remote communities in the district of Makwanpur. Support has included emergency food parcels, PPE for health posts, hygiene kits and handwashing stations.
We are in touch with community leaders and responding as and when we can.
Thank you for remembering the people of Nepal during this extremely challenging time.
