The Covid-19 pandemic caused a complete lockdown in Nepal. Schools were closed from March 2020 to November 2020.
In November, we supported schools to reopen by offering hygiene training and supplying PPE equipment. We also restarted our school improvement programme to help children stay safe and happy in schools.
In one primary school, we transformed a pre-school classroom by providing carpet, cushions, books and toys. In another, we offered WASH training and the young people then passed on their knowledge to their parents. We have also trained 90 teachers in child focussed methods.
Thank you for your support. The more children we can keep attending school, the safer they will be from traffickers.
With grateful thanks
