We recently came across research that said that alongside practical interventions in schools like toilets, taps and libraries, simple posters could have a huge effect.
The posters would bring to life research that showed that the longer children stayed in school (by years) the better their job prospects would be and the more money they would earn. Combining these information posters with other interventions such as teacher training, toilets, taps and libraries is a very effecive method of preventing school drop-outs.
We support schools in Nepal because children who are attending school regularly are much less likely to be trafficked. But we also support schools because we believe that a quality education has the power to transform futures.
These images are two draft posters that we are working on - the wording says that something along the lines of "The more years you stay in school the better your future earning prospects will be".
Thank you for supporting our work with schools in the rural district of Makwanpur in Nepal.
With very best wishes
